The Metzler Sportec M7 RR is the tire you should be testing out if you want to push your motorbike a little bit in less ideal weather. It is going to be in particular geared for sporty or bikes. However it will match on some smaller bikes as well coming in sizes from 150 to 200 in the rear. When you are looking for a good fit on your bike, you’re browsing for something like an M7 RR it’s quite likely you will also take a peek at some other tires too. The Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3 is a competitor to take in consideration and Metzeler M7 sits somewhere between Michelin Pilot Power. We will make a review on this tire so that you have an accurate idea about what this piece has to offer.
So first let’s talk about what the M7 means. It is a clear reference for the road race type. Metzler applied a specific technology in order to make this tire a road race. This is a tire for going fast in less than ideal conditions. The contour of Metzeler M7 is a little bit different than the profile. The shape of the tire has flattened out just a little bit giving you a larger contact patch especially in the turns. It will also improve confidence for those of you who like getting it when you are coming through the corners. A great thing about this tire is the dual compound in the rear and single compound rubber up front. This means a hard rubber across the entire carcass.
The bottom of the tire is quite long wearing rubber and in the center strip it is that same rubber. The rough-wearing tire rubber beneath will give good support to the shoulders and it will also give you a nice strip in the center. These features provide longevity. The 20% of the center section of harder rubber band it’s going to help this tire get long life. Out of the shoulders though we’ve got 40% of a softer rubber on each side. The softer rubber compound is laid on top. This means that when have your bike pitched over in a turn you should be feeling a great confidence. That is due to the more adhesive rubber off to the sides.
We recommend this tire to a couple of guys. It is a great tire for those of you who like riding in cold weather because it has a bunch of silica in it. As you may know, silica helps out a lot in wet weather but not just that. Metzler undoubtedly explores different temperatures and pavement irregularities.
Hope these thoughts made you excited to try these on. So check them out as soon as you can and enjoy your ride!
