Dunlop Elite 4 Review

By mts on December 4, 2019

You will have to look into an Elite 4 tire if you need a top class tire to your cruiser rig. These tires are currently made in a pretty big variety of sizes. However a few of them provide us some clues as to what bikes these are intended to fit.

We’re seeing these in a variety of the american domestic cruiser sizes tons of 16-inch tires. There are lots of metric cruisers that use similar sizes and you’ll be able to also notice two Dunlop’s got a 15-inch in size for this thing in order to get some cover in the metric cruiser market.
The Elite tire has been a favorite for the Gold Wing riders for a long time. This category of tire characterized by premium long mileage cruiser, come a long way in an short time. Elite 4 is playing against other different tires just like the Avon AV71, AV72, Cobras and Metzler ME888, proving to be something more, something better.

There are a couple of reasons we could say this about this tire. Anybody who’s ridden an Elite tire before knows that these are big mileage tires but don’t really sacrifice so much in a way of grip. Part of that is coming from the history of the Elite 3 that was made to be a multi compound tire. This means that down the center of those tires you’ve got a hard rubber. That’s a compound that’s quite formulated to offer excellent mileage on these. In fact Dunlop has made a lot of tests to achieve this outcome crossing the country a couple of times.

The Dunlop Elite 4 are made to go the distance. At the shoulders of this tire you have got softer tread compound. That means that in the twisties you will want to hit it hard and the softer compound will support your bike and provide the confidence you need. Additionally this tire has that multi tread compound that does a lot in inspiring the needed confidence. Probably the most interesting thing regarding the Elite 4 is the fact that the tread pattern is almost reshaped. You will see a really modern looking tread pattern. This is only natural to happen as bikes evolve, the tread patterns need to do it as well. This look not only looks cool but is also providing you a quieter ride experience. When you are on this tire, it simply does its job. Don’t take our word for it, just try it yourself.
