The first big thing about this tire is that it has a tread block about the same thickness and about the same size at TKC80. There is a lot of technology and very intentional design that went into these tread blocks and these tires as a whole. So these blocks are designed more like a 3D block. This particular block design helps in combating what we call step wear. The step wear is particularly what degrades the performance off-road making these tires immune to that. This block is going to give you the performance on the road and it can maintain the traction throughout the life of the road when you get off.
These tires are not like a common knobby tire. They have straight row or alternating blocks up and down. What that does is maximizing that biting edge. Instead of simply having square after square these are angled and kind of staggered giving additional biting edge off the road. That alternation offers you grip when if you have different things pupping up in the terrain.
Another impressive thing in these tires is the bridge between the two loves. Basically the tire has individual blocks on the top but the base is tied together so that you get that stability when the bike gets leaned over. And that helps just a little bit off-road. That also helps in the course of the lifetime of tire when you’re on the pavement. Additionally it helps from that block deformation. Regarding the sipings on the top of the tire, is a deco groove and it plays more of an aesthetic role than a functional one.
The side wall of these tires is super sturdy. The types of bikes riders are using, have specific speeds ratings and different load ratings depending on the size of the tire but it is an adventure and riders like to carry things with them and the bike can get heavy. This is why these tires are built to handle these types of bikes or have additional size expansion in the future. On the bike we are able to hit about six different types of terrain. We get super deep sand, we get large lose baby head type rocks, we get some decomposed granite, we get some super high speed twisties. It is the Bridgestone adventure go tire, the AX41 that can handle all of this. Try it out now!
